We'll take the item in with instructions such as shorten 2" or take in the waist 2" or we'll have you try on the item and we'll pin it as needed. Be sure to bring any shoes or any other item or garment that would affect the fit of the item.

We don't require appointments. Walk in anytime we're open. We suggest calling ahead for rush service availability.
It's all based on highly skilled labor at American wages and the time it takes to do the job.
A basic pant hem may take 10-15 minutes vs jacket sleeves that take 40-60 minutes.
A basic not too wide dress may take 10-20 minutes compared to a very wide multi layered formal dress that would take 40-80 minutes.
It's also important to keep in mind the time to undo the garment without any damage, adjust and put back together is much more consuming than making the garment at the factory.
Altering a garment to a specific person's size is one step down from a fully custom garment. There's much more time involved in adjusting one garment to one person compared to a factory mass producing thousands of the same garment every day.
The last important factor is American skilled labor at American wages compared to foreign labor at poverty rates for mass produced garments.
Our workmanship is 100% guaranteed. This applies to the stitching. It's not guaranteed against abuse or external conditions.
When you try on an item and we pin it - it will be exactly as pinned. Any adjustments due to fit are charged 50% the second time. Even with small adjustments we generally have to redo the work 100% again.
Instructions are followed and redos are at 50%. For example a request to shorten pants 2 inches but pants are still too long. We will redo them at 50% cost. Redoing the job even for a quarter of an inch is a full redo that takes 100% time as the first time. There are very few short cuts for minor adjustments.
We can alter almost any clothing related item. We work on some leather garments. We cannot work on thick leather goods such as bags, wallet, belts, etc.
Most items can be taken in or down sized to fit. Enlarging isn't always possible and is a case by case basis.
Most items we can finish within about a week. Sometimes it extends to 10-14 days depending on how busy we are. We offer rush service as fast as 1 hour when work load permits.
